The Flip Flop Fête is our annual spring fundraiser for youth sailing and our outreach programs, which has been successfully raising money for youth sailing scholarships and outreach programs since 2012. Over 100 people attend this wonderful event every year and participate in all the splendor of the night. Our silent auction spearheaded by our volunteer committee raised over $8,000 last year and combined with the raffle items throughout the night provided the support for over 20 underprivileged children and teens to sail at CGSC free of charge.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the CGSC community and ensure that the love of sailing continues on through the generations. Donate Today!

This innovative program is a partnership between the Coconut Grove Sailing Club Instructional Center and Miami-Dade County Public Schools division of Life Skills and Special Projects.  Middle and High School students from across Miami-Dade County are given an opportunity to participate in a program during the school day which brings them to the Club for classroom and “hands on” experiences in a marine environment. City of Miami students are given preference in class offerings.  Thanks to our partnership with MDCPS, special needs students are able to experiencing the beauty of Biscayne Bay. On any given weekday, the Club is being used by students learning to sail access dinghies and paddling Kayaks in the harbor.
