BASIC KEELBOAT INSTRUCTOR
One of our best assets at the CGSC is Richard Crisler. A Lifetime Member of 34 years with more than 27 years of teaching experience. Richard has multiple US Sailing Association Instructor Certificates: Basic Keelboat, Level #1 Dingy and Powerboat. He has taught and tested more than 2500 students with a very personal and amiable style. If you want to learn how to enjoy and be proficient in sailing, contact Richard or give him a call. Heading up our Adult Sunfish Program is Phil Adams. He has many US Sailing Association Instructor Certificates: Small Boat Levels #1, #2, & #3 and also Basic Keelboat. A Club Member since 2007, Phil's 2 sons currently compete in our Youth Program. Besides the Adult Sunfish Program, Phil is an active part of our Youth Sailing Team.
FLYING SCOT INSTRUCTOR
Past Commodore Bud Price has extensive racing experience with over 40 years in a Sunfish, Laser, Force 5, Mutineer, Day Sailor, J-27, SR-27, Hunter 29.5 as well as a Nelson Merik 36 and Corsair trimaran. US Sailing Certified for teaching level one small boat, keel boat , power boat and serves as an instructor trainer for US Sailing. Bud raced the Flying Scot in National Championships, competed in the Stoli Cup Miami to Key Largo 4 times and is a licensed captain. Bud hosts CGSC’s popular Wednesday Night Racing, has been a member of CGSC for over 20 years, and is the Flying Scot Fleet Representative.
