Summer Sailing & Windsurfing Camp!

Kids & Teens Ages 6 – 18 Welcome

Set sail for adventure this summer at our sailing and windsurfing camp where children sail and explore beautiful Biscayne Bay! Designed for kids ages 6-18, our camp offers a safe and exciting way to learn or improve their skills on the water. From beginner opti sailing to windsurfing, we emphasize fun while building confidence and essential boat handling skills in a supportive environment. Our experienced instructors prioritize safety, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for every camper.

OUR SUMMER PROGRAMS

At our summer camp, kids and teens will learn to sail or improve their boat handling techniques aboard our fleet of traditional youth-focused sailboats such as the Optimist, C420 and ILCA (Laser).  Our child-friendly windsurfing equipment features smaller, light weight sails and boards to accommodate kids and teens alike. Our programs are geared for kids at both the beginner and intermediate levels.

  • Learn to Sail Optis (ages 6 – 12) Optis are the sailboats that children around the world learn to sail and race on.
  • Club 420 Sailing (ages 13 – 18) The standard double handed (two person) sailboat with jib, spinnaker and trapeze sailed at high schools and colleges across the country.
  • ILCA (ages 13 – 18) This Olympic class boat is the perfect choice for those sailors that prefer to sail single handed. Novice ILCA sailors will practice using the smaller ILCA 4 rig (sail).
  • Learn to Windsurf (ages 6 & up) This Olympic class sport is rapidly gaining popularity as advanced equipment technology has made windsurf foiling possible for kids and adults alike.

To promote a faster, more consistent learning experience, we are offering two-week sessions this summer. Those families that can only attend one week can be accommodated upon request. 

SESSION DATES:

  • Session 1: June 9 – 20
  • Session 2: June 16 – July 3 (no camp on Fri, July 4)
  • Session 3: July 7 – 18
  • Session 4: July 21 – August 1
  • Session 5: August 4 – 8

CAMP SCHEDULE:
8:30a – 9am: Drop Off
9a – 3:30pm: Camp Activities
3:30p – 4:15: Pick Up
4:15p – 6pm: After Care

COSTS:
$900/child/two-week session
$525/child/one week session

ADVANCED SUMMER RACING CLINICS

CGSC is expanding its menu of racing clinics geared for Opti, ILCA and C420 racers this summer.  Whether your a green fleeter looking to up you’re skill level on the race course or a RWB sailor vying for a top spot at US Opti Nationals, our in depth clinics led by seasoned instructors will focus on sharpening tactical decision-making, mastering advanced starting techniques, and optimizing boat handling in all conditions. CLINICS ARE OPEN TO ALL OPTI, ILCA, AND C420 SAILORS!  

US OPTI NATIONALS SUMMER CLINIC SERIES
Led by RWB Coach Raul Ramos
Open to RWB Sailors Only

 CLINIC SESSION DATES:

  • Session 0-3: June 16  – 20
  • Session 0-4: June 23 – 27
  • Session 0-5: July 7 – 11
  • Session 0-6: July 14 – 18
  • Session 0-7: August 4 – 8

HOURS:
9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday

COST:
$525 per week for one session

GREEN FLEET RACING CLINICS
Led by Coaches Aish Nedunchezhiyan & Luis Alfonso “Kope” Orlando
Open to Green Fleet Sailors Only

Focused on preparing green fleet sailors for their eventual transition to RWB, the clinics will reinforce fundamental boat handling skills while advancing sailors’ knowledge and understanding of tactical decision-making on the race course. 

 CLINIC SESSION DATES:

  • Session 0-1: June 2 – 6
  • Session 0-2: June 9 – 13
  • Session 0-5: July 7 – 11
  • Session 0-6: July 14 – 18
  • Session 0-7: August 4 – 8

HOURS:
9am – 5pm, Monday – Friday

COST:
$525 per week for one session

ILCA & C420 RACING CLINICS
