SUMMER CAMP

June 12 - August 18 2017

Thank you for your interest in our summer sailing program! We run 5 two week-long sessions of Camp geared toward beginning to intermediate level sailors ages 6-17 using our fleet of Optimists, SailCubes, Sunfish, Lasers and FJ.

Children ages 6-17 with no experience are all welcome to join us as long as they are able to swim.  A simple swim test is giving on the first day of each camp session.  Children are then divided into groups by age, size and experience.

We offer several different dates to accommodate your family’s summer schedule. Children in our program learn to sail in a fun, safe environment.  They learn sailing terminology, develop wind awareness, and learn to sail a course. More advanced sailors have the opportunity to take part in one of our racing groups.

If you are interested in taking part in our racing camp please contact the Youth Director Diunieski “Koky” Gutierrez at youthdirector@cgsc.org

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The CGSCIC encourages sailing instruction and participation at all levels.

As an altruistic community based organization, we offer sailing education programs that coincide with seasoned maritime traditions developed on our glorious Biscayne Bay.

In regards to our programs, we also provide scholarship opportunities to young sailors who lack the means to afford and access our pristine and wondrous Bay.

For more detailed information about our scholarships and how you can apply, please contact the General Manager, Lauren Simpson.
